Hello,

I am a Whitby resident and I an against opening the greenbelt for housing. As a young person under the age of 30 I understand the need for housing but I do not like the idea of ruining more wild locations in the name of houses. We should be proud of our natural land and do what we can to preserve as much as we can. I believe that instead we need to invest in areas that already have the infrastructure and improve what we have. Make it easier for Ontarians to travel between cities using public transit and create more housing using apartments and condo style homes. Less single family homes and more dense housing needs to be used to help get people in homes and support our growing population.
