This would be an environmental danger to allow changes to allow development on the green belt. It is protected for a reason. By allowing one developer to build on it sets a precedent to allow another and then another. Forcing the loss of the green belt.
Government needs to look into issues with unoccupied homes, inflated home and rent prices, limiting foreign real estate buyers. This would be a better place to start and spend resources on.
