I am 28 years old and extremely concerned about climate change. The seasons keep getting warmer, with each year breaking a new heat record. And this trend shows no sign of stopping. Meanwhile, we hear about worse and more common fires, hurricanes and other natural disasters that appear to be linked to this increase of heat. Action must be taken by all parties: governments, companies and citizens.
If you cancel the cap and trade program and replace it with nothing, you will be abdicating your responsibility to act in the best interest of the citizens of Ontario. Therefore I urge that you either leave the program in place, improve it, or replace it with a better system. Just trashing it will be an insult to the citizens of this province, and an assault on the future of its youth.
