Please, do not dismantle our Cap and Trade program. This program has already shown that it is effective and powerful at stimulating an economy that is based on sustainability and a better future for humanity. If anything, this program does not go far enough and I encourage (no, challenge) the Ontario government to develop these laws further and increase the investments we are making in solar, wind, carbon emission pricing, etc.

In addition, I work in a structural engineering firm. We often design and reinforce structures to support new solar panels on their roofs. Your cutting of the GreenOn program is already costing us work. As well, the Ontario Building Code is pushing for more stringent energy saving measures for new buildings, but without GreenOn existing buildings and homeowners have little opportunity to invest and save money over the lifetime of their home's energy costs.

Wake up, please, and do not scrap what little of a climate change action plan we have left.
