I want to see an alternative…

I want to see an alternative climate plan before the existing one is cancelled. This plan needs to present a real way to a) reduce emissions in Ontario and b) support the growth of the clean energy market in Ontario. Climate change is one of the biggest threats my generation is facing and it scares me that my government isn’t standing up for me but instead is opting to do nothing. Doing nothing is you saying to me that my future doesn’t matter.
On the other hand, climate change doesn’t have to be seen as only a threat. I believe it is also an opportunity to make our province a better place. Solutions to climate change can help our economy. The renewable market is going to keep growing as people continue to put pressure on governments and companies to stop burning fossil fuels. Shouldn’t we try to get into this market as soon as we can in this province instead of being left behind as we reverse our environmental policy and cancel geeen energy projects?
It just makes sense to support a healthy climate policy. People want that. Why wouldn’t the government give us a climate policy that people want, that will contribute to a healthy environment, and that has economic rewards?
