Our protected greenbelt must remain protected! Ontario doesn't need sprawling suburbs and more cars on the road, Ontario needs higher density housing and better public transit to better serve our residents.
Opening up our protected green belt to development puts those developments directly at risk for flooding, and will have significant downstream and long term environmental effects.
I am strongly opposed to using land that is protected for good reason to build single family sprawling homes.
Please turn to vacant buildings in our big cities like Hamilton and Toronto, surface parking lots, and other areas in which to build high density housing and low income and geared to income housing.
