I understand the growing volume of immigrants into our country and need for housing. However we must start thinking about our country and province, those already living here first. Clawing back pieces of the green belt in Ontario is not the solution. In fact it’s harmful to our wildlife and earth. We have so many vacant buildings around the province that should be repurposed before anyone starts touching this protective land. Doug Ford it only in this for himself to build his highway. It’s not in the best interest of anyone but those filling their deep pockets. Why not do what the 407 did and build around these areas? Again, repurpose all the vacant building and land that is not part of the green belt all before touching this protective land.
