We are in a climate crisis. Whether you like it or not, this is a scientific fact! Protecting important Greenbelt areas throughout Ontario is one of the most simple and important things we can do as a province. Throughout the areas specified, there are multiple species that are at risk of losing their habitat, important species that keep the ecosystem balanced. We cannot be selfish in the decision to build and expand, only thinking about ourselves. There are many other areas which can be developed which would not create devastating, long lasting effects towards our environment. I ask for this reconsideration. Consult other members within these communities, consult Indigenous peoples who have ties to these areas. Expand your search and get proper evidence and proper support, seek science. Do not create destruction for human growth.
