I think it’s ridiculously reactive to start deciding to build on integral land when the areas in the our province that have already been built up don’t work for the people who live there. When we decide to build without a consideration about public transit, long term environmental impact, urbanization without culture, etc., you set this province up for failure so that you can tick off a box. This government needs to consider building communities that actually work for its residents in the long term, not just building to fill the coffers of its buddies in construction, development and real estate. We’re tired of driving, tired of traffic, tired of big box stores and over priced, garbage townhouses that fall apart after 10 years. For once, just once, think about the people who live in this province and not just yourselves.
