There is absolutely no need to take any land from the Greenbelt. There is already approved land per the government’s own housing task force, and that's what should be built on. It's glaringly apparent that the Premier just wants to reward land developers who have contributed to his campaign, as the owners of land that is to be removed from the Greenbelt are identifiable as such. In some countries what is being done would be considered criminal. Here, it is at the very least a conflict of interest, and probably more than that if the Premier stands to gain from it. Don't touch the Greenbelt, we need more of it, not less. And we do not need any more highways, either! Put the money into public transport, it works in Europe and the U.K.
