Keep the green belt as it is. There is more than enough room to densify already existing spaces. Compared to where I have lived in Europe, Canada's density - even in the GTA - is far too sparse for people to live in walkable neighborhoods. From a lens of livability, it makes no sense for people to rely on a 3000 pound object to move them around for every single thing they do.
As such, I do not think there is any need to build on the green belt, but rather densify what's already existing. Increase the spaces of condo and apartment developments so families can live in them comfortably.
Considering the Conservative party is walking back on prior promises to keep the belt untouched, should this proposal go through, it would be a deal-breaker when it comes to supporting or voting for the PCs.
