Our future and our children…

Our future and our children's future and the future of generations to come are all tied to our environment. It is therefore essential that the Province of Ontario has a meaningful policy which mitigates climate change and harm to our environment.

Voluntary measures will simply not do. As the saying goes, "no pain, no gain". What on this earth is achieved without some degree of sacrifice? Thus, if you are indeed "for the people" you should expect that these people will recognize that a price has to be paid in some way, shape or form for pollution, including carbon.

I, and millions of other Ontario citizens, expect leadership from our government in reacting to the threat of climate change. Do the right thing, follow the evidence, and place a price on polluters, which can then be rebated back to our citizens. That would take leadership and be truly acting "for the people". Are you up to the challenge?
