Horrifying. Why do we need to continue to stuff housing on top of housing in these areas?
Greenbelt land has been established for a very good reason. Now we want to chip away at the only natural spaces that remain in these god awful towns?
Honestly, the rapid urbanization of the GTHA and Golden Horseshoe areas are making truly terrible places to live.
Not to mention the destruction to our watersheds and aquafers. Plus driving out native species from these areas. Then the folks that move in arent even intelligent enough to figure that perhaps you ought not try to feed a coyote who's land you've had your house built on.
Pure greed from those who collect the property taxes. Ontario's certainly a big province. Perhaps we could spare the only natural spaces left in this over developed region and disperse our disgusting overpopulation elsewhere.
Toronto and surrounding areas, believe it or not, aren't the only places in this province with industry and jobs. And perhaps other places might even have the infrastructure to support a greater population! It's no secret that our local infrastructure can't even keep up with the population that it supports currently. But unfortunately, roadways don't generate revenue so who cares? Unless it's a toll highway that could greatly alleviate congestion thought the area, but the greed overcomes the desire to create a half decent place for people to live and work.
You people are truly appalling. Zero regard for the environment, for the people to inhabit these spaces, for the natural resources that people rely on, and for the wildlife you displace.
