Instead of removal of lands from the Greenbelt, the Growth Plan should be updated to require increased density and expanded Urban Growth Areas in Simcoe County.
Simcoe County has the ability to accomodate growth, provided new rapid transit options and other community amenities are available to support them.
Instead of greenbelt removals, Consider creating a "new city" in Ontario, one that is pre-planned with rigorous public consultation. This will inspire people and create a new place to accomodate growth.
The proposed delineation of removal of greenbelt lands from the Rouge park area is too generalized and requires further precision.
It is very difficult to understand what criteria is evaluated for removals.
If a removal happens, what kind of wildlife protection measures will be established?
