This proposal will lead an increase in sprawl, further strain on existing infrastructure and not help with housing affordability while also destroying environmentally sensitive areas.
The single family and high density housing will be created in essentially the "middle of nowhere", creating bedroom communities with increased dependency on vehicles thus causing further environmental damage over time.
The bill also weakens environmental oversight and places more burden on insufficiently funded municipal departments to deal with environmental hazards.
Please look into more efficient and less environmentally damaging means of getting "more homes built faster" such as increasing density.
This bill is merely a means to give development companies the green light to continue dated, inefficient and greedy means of "development" where they continue to make more money. It does nothing real for families.
