As a citizen of ontario I am 100% opposed to this plan. The greenbelt is to remain untouched, not developed into subdivisions.

The greenbelt is supposed to be a legacy for all of ontario, not reserve of land for Doug and developers to capitalize on.

It is contradictory to remove a section of greenbelt protection to build subdivisions, that land was protected for a valid reason. Substituting this land for another parcel of land in the paris gault moraine is not acceptable either. If the paris gault moraine is significant enough to be included in the greenbelt, then it should be added, without removing greenbelt around king vaugh, markham and pickering.

This move to swap greenbelt land to benefit developers is the definition of crony capitalism, something that will reflect poorly on Doug ford and his conservative party.

Furthermore, the conservatives DO NOT have provincial consensus on this decision. A minority of people in the province voted for the conservatives, for them to overstep this way shows how corrupt Doug ford is.
