Reducing climate change is not about saving abstract things like greenery, or beauty, or "the planet".
The planet will be fine. The priority is saving us.
We don't want our old age, when we are weakest and most in need, to be a war for resources with more powerful nations. We don't want ourselves, or our children, to die horrible deaths from starvation because of massive crop failure.
Now is the time to do everything we can. (Actually, twenty-five years ago was the time, but our gruesome fate is only going to get more certain the longer we leave it.)
This is not a partisan issue. This is a public safety issue.
Make the decision that best serves Ontarians, Canadians, and the world - and reduce greenhouse gasses by any and all means necessary. Anything less isn't merely madness - it's suicide.
