There is a significant watershed located within the boundary of the greenbelt, designated for change in Grimsby between Kelson and Oakes Road.
There are no munipal sewers or significant culverts upstream for the water to divest into, from Cline Mountain Road South, where residents are impacted by current water table rises.
It appears there will be significant flooding should a residential development be put in place, and the land use designation change.
Residents of Cline Mountain Road South, have already signed a petition to have the culvert under highway 8 updated due to this issue, which was successfully approved for construction.
The re-designated under bill 23 would change the parcel from Kelson to Oakes which has :
1. Surface water intake protection zone
2. Regulated Flood plain
