In a world where human housing disrupts the very places where we get food, air, and provide habitat for wildlife and pollinators we must analyze and determine if our housing is a priority.

Removing a system that measures those needs and the impacts from the disruption of those spaces is barbaric and we as Canadians know better.

I am proud that my country generally examines building for all the impacts it can make to an ecosystem - and if the outcome significantly affects the ecosystem there are systems in place to minimize damage.

As the most populous province in Canada, we have a huge responsibility in balancing building with habitat. Let’s not remove these checks and balances.

It’s important for everyone and everything.
