Climate change is an existential threat to life on this planet. Human survival depends on us reducing and eventually ending the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. One of the best policy tools we have at our disposal to achieve these reductions is by putting a price on carbon. It creates a strong incentive for the province's largest polluters to take action.

In the strongest possible terms, I call on the government of Ontario abandon the repeal of carbon pricing. It is an essential measure for ensuring the survival humans and civilization into the next century and beyond.
