As a long time resident of Pickering (50+) years I am 100% opposed to repealing the Duffins Rouge Agricultural Preserve Act. These acres of prime farmland cannot be replaced once they are paved over. Our planet is already in crisis from climate change. Everything possible should be done to stop the downward spiral of our earth along with the cities and communities where we all live. Farmland is needed to grow the food we eat. It’s to valuable to bulldoze over for just another sprawling subdivision.
The Preserve should be Preserved. That’s why it is called a preserve!
