I am categorically against compromising the green belt, especially against the will of municipalities. This is dinosaur thinking as we are headed for a climate catastrophe that is unfolding before our very eyes. This is not about partisan politics. This is common sense. You will have people, including me, who has never been to a protest, up in arms. Even conservative seniors will be against this. We have grand-children whose future is threatened by these types of measures. This is not nimbyism either. Your own Housing Affordability Task Force has concluded that there is enough land available within existing zoning. This is Doug Ford helping out his developer buddies and everyone knows this. Is he not worried about an inquiry down the road? This will get ugly.
