This bill should be withdrawn, for the following reasons:
1) Developing agricultural land has a negative impact on local food supply and food affordability, at a time of high inflation.
2) Any development in what is now Greenbelt has a higher risk of flooding due to loss of wetland - a short-sighted "solution" to our housing affordability crisis.
3) Paving over forest and wetland is a move in the wrong direction in the fight against climate change. We need forest and wetland to store carbon.
4) We need to build housing near to where our jobs and our parents and our friends already live, not so far away you spend all your time driving around. We need more density, not more sprawl.
5) Conservation Authorities should have input into development process to prevent short-term decisions from having long-term environmental impact.
