We are in the midst of a climate and food crisis, and the Ford government's solution is to cut down more trees and destroy the greenbelt, which could have been used for farming. Nowhere in the government's Housing Affordability Task Force report did it say destroying the green belt was a good idea. There are other options to tackle the housing crisis. This supposed 'solution' is clearly not about actually helping Ontarians, instead, it's about helping Ford and his friends make more money. If this goes through it will be to the detriment of future generations, who will look outside and wonder where all the greenery and outdoor space has gone. They will have Ford to thank for that.
