As a concerned Ontarian, I am submitting a request to consider our environment in regard to Bill 4. We need to protect the one thing everyone needs. A healthy environment. I feel our government should be strengthening our commitment to each of the following...
•A real climate change plan to reduce emissions, to help people save money by saving energy and to create jobs in the $26 trillion clean economy.
•Adoption of a price on carbon pollution through a fee-and-dividend plan, which would charge polluters and return the money to the pockets of Ontarians.
•Legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement.
•The redirection of fossil fuel subsidies into clean energy solutions.
