I disagree with the decision to remove any land from the Greenbelt. As the government's own housing task force states, there is sufficient land in the Golden Horseshoe already. No need to touch the Greenbelt. The Greenbelt was supposed to be permanently protected. In a time of extreme weather, flooding, climate change, as well as a time of food precarity, it is a risk to remove any Greenbelt lands.
I disagree with this legislation and believe it is in the best interests of all Ontarians to preserve the Greenbelt as it is. If anything, we should be adding land - period. Not removing or "trading."
