I am greatly concerned with the Ford government’s decision to develop land within the green belt.
Green space is so vital within a community. It provides an area for water to go, for biodiversity to thrive, for water to be filtered and to have an area for local residents to enjoy nature.
Once developed this land cannot be replaced.
We must build up not out. Developing farm and natural land is not the solution to the Ontario’s housing crisis.
The concept of land swapping is a joke and in no way a solution. It is simply the Ford government pretending to be doing an ounce of good while collecting pay outs from developers.
Voters care about their futures and having an Ontario that isn’t completely paved over.
