Please use scientific assessments to base decisions regarding sensitive Greenbelt lands. The housing and development crisis will not be solved by building more urban sprawl. In fact that will only worsen the problem. Please concentrate your efforts in urban areas that already have the infrastructure to support more inhabitants rather than creating more problems for the population. Start looking ahead and planning to grow more of our food locally and protecting our water sources so that we become more self sufficient and able to sustain ourselves locally. The last 3 years are a great example of things to come and the problems associated with reliance on outside resources. Respect and protect our backyard! Don’t take the beautiful lands we have for granted. Please don’t be short sighted and swayed by groups that are self serving and politically powerful because of financial support.
