This cancellation is a terrible move for environmental and economic reasons. The money from this program was supporting other important provincial programs that contributed to our high quality of life. Cancelling it created a budget crisis used to solve a problem of your own making with further cuts. It also told manufacturers that they can pollute as much as they want. This is the wrong message in this day and age. Save the money that you’ll have to use fighting the federal govt and put it back into this program.
