After travelling to other provinces, and consistently seeing how much respect they have for their natural landscapes, and preserving nature it is consistently disappointing to recognize Ontario’s lack of respect for nature and green space. I reached out to my local MPP to share the above sentiment and was met with a canned response about housing. I have dedicated my career to serving those experiencing homelessness, and am acutely aware of the housing crisis we currently face. There are ways to support folks in need of housing that don’t involve destroying the green belt. Ontario needs to do better, and be better. This is unacceptable and embarrassing.
