The Places to Grow legislation that was previously in place provided enough land for new housing to solve the present crisis with enough left to cater to the demand of the next two decades. There is no justification whatever for allowing development of Greenbelt land to meet the present need for more housing. There needs to be certainty that the Greenbelt policies will not be subject to little exemptions and exceptions, or the Greenbelt lands will be bought up by speculators.
