I am against removing and redesignating these lands. Ontario has protected these lands to protect our valuable and dwindling wetlands, woodlands, farm and watersheds. Many of these areas cannot be just swapped out for different land somewhere else. Wetlands take a considerable time to establish. We have many endangered species that live in these habitats. Fragmenting the current wetlands and Woodlands doom many of these species into extinction by remove ability to creatures to travel to near by habitats for mating.
I also am deeply concerned of the effects these proposals will have on our waterways when we are already experiencing flooding and many other evidence of the negative side effects of Climate Change. We need to protect our natural resources.

Yes we need more homes in Ontario but building them where no infrastructure exists is unwise and will not provide the affordable housing Ontarians need.

Please protect the Greenbelt and the Oak Ridge Moraine.
