Please do not allow development on our Greenbelt. We have lots of developable land in Ontario. We do not have to go after our Greenbelt. Please do not affect the environment that will surround our future generations. Let's not be short sighted, but rather understand the long term effects of these decisions. Let's use white lands at the edges of current GTHA city limits, and mandate expansion of current city limits (but not into Greenbelt), and invest in transit, high speed rail and internet, which would allow better commuting and remote learning/ working. This is the way to grow our economy and welcome the much needed immigration to fill the labour and shortages in trades, technical and medical professions.

I have been impressed with Premier Ford in the last 2 years. He has shown good judgement and a balanced approach. But this awful decision is something that we will all regret for decades to come. Please, reverse this decision and prevent this train wreck from even starting. Ontarians will not stand for this unwise attack in our environment and dedicated Greenbelt. Something like this needs a snap election, or better yet, a referendum.
