Building homes in the Greenbelt will not solve the major issues of housing supply in Ontario, and will only increase urban sprawl and the cost of delivering essential services to low-population density areas. instead of encouraging new builds on protected lands, Ontario should be investing more in public transportation such as LRTs and high-density residences in the GTA along those lines -- this is the only real way to make buying a home affordable for younger generations.
