The Greenbelt as it currently exists, is an environmentally sensitive biodiverse area and needs to be protected, if not expanded. The areas that are under consideration for development are precious to the environment. The owners should be protecting the environment/land that they now own, not exploiting it for development.
And trying to take vital land that is already part of an ecosystem, cannot be swapped out for land that is already "protected" from mass development under other bills. Farm land and the greenbelt that already exists, are not interchangeable.
So, honour the promises made during the election campaign - do not interfere with the existing Greenbelt.
