I am in full agreement with the provincial government’s intention to create more housing for Ontarians, especially affordable housing, as rising inflation often forces people to choose between housing and groceries. But I don't support this at the cost of healthy, livable communities. Parks, green spaces, and recreation areas are contributing factors to property value, conservation, tourism, and health. They are proven ways to reduce crime, foster a sense of community, and encourage physical activity that supports improved physical and mental health. This Bill threatens the economic, environmental, and social well-being of the province.
