Bill 23 seems completely unnecessary and politically motivated by Doug Ford to win favor from the developers he's helping by pushing this through.
There are many other options and locations developers could be building other then on protected green belt land. These are vital wetlands for the environment and many native species living there. Feels like the easy and lazy option that financially benefits the developers and has a massive negative impact on the environment, We need leaders who inspire and force developers to get more creative and make better use of land surrounding the GTA. We don't need more suburbs and more cars on the road commuting. lets build high density housing up, not sprawling outwards.
I urge the provincial government to see reason and put a stop to developing the green belt. This is such a short sighted decision to continuing sprawling outwards. Given the times we all need to hold ourselves to a higher standard and get creative in the way we grow the city
