This is a bad law. A greenbelt is a greenbelt. It should never be cut into or changed. The whole bill is predicated on an assumption that affordable housing should be built in the suburban model; we do not need anymore suburban sprawl. We need to create more density in the neighbourhoods that already exist. We need to redevelop and rezone and build up more, and there is plenty of land available for that. You do not need to cut into the Greenbelt for that. This bill stinks to high-heavens. Does the government seriously think we can't see that this deal is designed to make their developer friends very rich? This smells like corruption. This looks like corruption. It will be remembered as corruption, bad policy, and a destroying the environment.
