I feel that it is completely irresponsible towards our our children and future generations to interfere with an attempt to make polluters pay. I am a hard working tax paying RN with a child, elderly mother and many bills. However I know that we ALL have to pitch in and sacrifice in order to mitigate the climate change which will have catastrophic impacts on the planet and to bring it home- effect our insurance premiums as floods and extreme weather causes more property damage, increase our healthcare costs as extreme heat causes more illness and impedes outdoor activities which promotes fitness, increase climate refugees that will inevitably attempt to come to Canada, potentially effect the reliable weather patterns that have allowed population to flourish through reliable agricultural yields- causing spikes in food prices. It is the MORAL obligation of government to look out for the well-being of the people they represent long term and not buy into ignorance spread to seek benefit for the wealthy few. You must put Ontario at the forefront of fighting climate change not take us back.
