I am deeply upset that this government has chosen a path with Bill 23 that demonstrates a blatant disregard for the future of of children and the natural environment that we need to protect. These resources and the governing bodies in place to protect them are being systematically dismantled in front of the public's eyes...and it cannot stand. How arrogant to think that this government thought they could pull this type of greedy maneuvering with little backlash. Shameful behaviour on the part of our leaders, who more and more are demonstrating that they are only in the game of lining the pockets of campaign contributors and big business.
It is a pitiful excuse to say that this bill is designed to build the homes Ontario needs. We need them, but not on our farmlands and marshes. We have lots of room to build houses by in-filling and repurposing infrastructure. Do better.
