Bill 23 encourages developers to build new houses, while reducing developers’ fees, by passing infrastructure costs (roads, hydro, water, sewerage, etc.) to the municipalities and thus increasing taxes. Someone has to pay for the infrastructure and amenities for these future homeowners which will mean my homeowner taxes will go up. I pay enough tax already and we don't have a community centre and drive on roads filled with potholes. Developers should pay development fees.
