The changes make it more complicated not less. The additional testing is unnecessary and more costly for operators esspically when the insident is very minor, which most are. With the present system a retest is all that is necessary as the contamination was likley from the chain of command or lab error.
Keep the follow up testing as it is unless the single follow up sample also fails.
I doubt I will have a test failure but if I do my intent will be to continue to follow the existing procedure and see what the retest showes before doing any further testing.
