Please see the attached County of Brant Council approved Report RPT-0711-22, including the attachment outlining the County’s responses to the discussion paper and ERO Posting #019-6177 on the Review of A Place to Grow and Provincial Policy Statement.

As a Rural Municipality in the Greater Golden Horseshoe, we have offered constructive feedback on the many challenges we currently face and best practices that could be used to increase a diversified housing supply as part of complete communities. These best practices also consider how to provide for the protection of public health and safety, agricultural lands, natural areas, and cultural heritage. Our draft new Official Plan hopes to assist us with these barriers moving forward by providing a framework that addresses core elements of the new policy proposal, and we await Provincial feedback on the draft document submitted on August 17, 2021.
