Please do not repeal our province's carbon mitigation and reduction initiatives, and please reinstate initiatives like the home upgrade credit. People were using programs and credits like that one (or were preparing to do so) to improve the energy efficiency of their homes, including my in-laws.

In the case of my in-laws, they had finally saved up enough funds to upgrade their home's windows by using the credit. Unfortunately, due to the cancellation of the credits, my in-laws are no longer able to do so. Theirs is one of countless instances of people who had saved enough money to upgrade their home's efficiency (and reduce the costs of living associated with the upgraded part of their home), only to lose out.

I would request that, if this government believes that the programs introduced to fight climate change are not working or being abused, that they improve them, and not repeal them.

For instance, in relation to the electric car purchasing incentive, further cap the total cost of the cars allowed under the incentive.
