It only makes sense that people who create pollution also be responsible for cleaning it up. Cap and trade does this, making companies pay for their own emissions, and making it a key factor to try and limit harmful effects of their own processes.
If I make a mess cooking, I have to clean the kitchen. Why should THEY not do that?
