I've lived in Ontario all my life; I'm 53 years' old. Climate change is real and needs to be addressed NOW - before it's too late. Some scientists are warning that if we don't do something within the next 20 years or before, we're doomed.
I want to see a real climate change plan to reduce emissions, help people save energy and create jobs in the $26 trillion clean economy. Ontario needs to put a price on pollution - making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint. Ontario needs legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement. It would also be nice if Ontario was 100% powered by clean energy by 2050.
Ontario shouldn't be giving subsidies and handouts to fossil fuel companies. This money needs to be re-directed to clean energy solutions.
