Today the Nobel prize in Economics was shared by two economists. One was for his work in proving the economic and environmental viability of carbon caps and related taxation.
It is obvious that the world is experiencing the effects of climate change. In many locations these effects have been catastrophic. They will only get worse. Anyone who has care for themselves, their children, their grandchildren, has the responsibility to act now, even if many scientists believe it may already be too late.
This government must act responsibly by implementing - not cancelling - the Climate Change Mitigation and
Low-carbon Economy Act, 2016 (CCMLEA).
