It has been apparent for many years now that the planet is already suffering from climate change impacts. These will only increase but will do so with even more intolerable effects if significant action is not immediately instituted.

I was horrified to see the climate plan from the previous government scrapped and my jaw dropped when I heard Mr. Ford sounding as if he doesn't understand how much more costly and disastrous to economic life in Ontario increasing climate change impacts will be. This problem has been investigated thoroughly and scientific consensus has been reached. Climate change needs to be tackled immediately with an even more substantive plan that the one scrapped.

There are many folks who have done work to show that working to mitigate the impacts will not be an economic disaster but rather a stimulant.

Mr. Ford needs to get a plan reviewed and enacted without further delay so we can get on with the job of trying to protect the generations to come from the sure disaster that lack of action with bring.
