Regarding ERO 019-6692

I am a rockhound and recreational geologist in southern Ontario who belongs to two mineral, rock and fossil clubs. I believe that Government of Ontario support for the hobby provides direct and positive messaging about the value of Ontario's minerals in our heritage and our future.

The Central Canadian Federation of Mineralogical Societies, representing several hobby clubs in Ontario, has given the subject of a new hobby mineral collecting guide considerable thought. I fully support their views and recommendations as expressed by their attached letter dated March 28, 2023 to the Hon. George Pirie, Minister of Mines, and the letter Attachment - Critical Provisions.
