I was very disappointed that the current Ontario government is rolling back our environmental protections by eliminating the Cap and trade program. Without any sort of replacement or apparent consideration of the costs they are putting Ontario at odds with the Federal government and international efforts such as the Paris Climate Agreement and I would urge reconsideration.

I would accept change if we had a real plan to reduce emissions unfortunately that does not seem to be the case. It can be difficult for an individual to feel choices they make will affect change so a large onus is on our elected representatives to hold large polluters accountable for their emissions and work towards lowering their carbon footprint.
